”……When she was just a girl
She expected the world
But it flew away from her reach
And the bullets catch in her teeth
Life goes on, it gets so heavy
The wheel breaks the butterfly
Every tear a waterfall
In the night the stormy night she’ll close her eyes
In the night the stormy night away she’d fly
And dreams of paradise………………..”
I often feel like this song describes most of the girls. At a little age we all expect something big, hope for an awesome future. Day goes by, and we realize something big is not reserved for everyone. Some people are just meant to stay alive. They aren’t dead yet so that nature can maintain the perfect life cycles. Before you even learn to fly, life cuts your wings off! It keeps on getting heavier and finally you surrender!
And one day, you realize this reality can’t make you happy anymore, you should visit your own Disneyland in your head, you can only visit your paradise in your head! So, you start being happy in your dreams! You can only be happy in your dreams of paradise! <sigh>
Sometimes I think it is very unfair of Almighty making all the women very emotional. Each and everyone of us face at-least one stage of life where you just can’t win over your emotion, rather you lose everything to it. You are biased to your feelings.
Not every lady is the same though. Some are very strong! And I envy them.
Couple months ago, I read a book.“House Rules” by Jodie Picoult. The story is about a boy with Asperger’s syndrome, his brother and their single mother. Their biological father left them because he couldn’t take it anymore, dealing with his own “autistic boy“. But Emma, their mother, can’t. She’s exhausted, dying for a normal life, because of her kid, she has to maintain everything trying not to upset him a bit, but she just can’t think of leaving them, not for a while! The writing was so good that, I could feel her struggle! And there I could see the lady accepting her fate that she can’t be really happy in reality, so she sometimes finds herself dreaming one. Her one kid is unable to understand anything without his area, and another one is tired of compromising everything for his brother and so he keeps himself busy in his life. And no one is there to see what’s going on with the lady. 😦
But when I see the TV series “Game of Thrones”, I find some hope for myself. 😛 Well, I don’t need to tell you about that, we all are die hard fan of game of thrones, right? 😉 Khaleesee, Cersei, Sansa or Arya shows us that there are times in your life when not only you can win over your emotions but also you can win over yourself, sometimes over the life! ❤
And when that winning moment comes in our life ladies, that’s when we make our paradise in reality, and stop dreaming one. :’)
Have a great start of the week, everyone!
